Let's go to Mexico!

Hello Friends of Gift of Sight.
Well it's finally time for our team mission to Mexico. I believe that our team is the last mission of the year. It's been a long wait since our mission was first announced in December '07, but we are pumped up and ready to go!

Our team of 33 volunteers and doctors hails from the U.S., Canada, Spain, Italy and Austrailia. We will spend our two weeks near Vera Cruz, Mexico in the towns of Tuxpan and Poza Rica. Our goal is to provide complete eye exams and recycled glasses to thousands of Mexicans who could not otherwise afford to see the world clearly.

Each day, at this blog spot, we will be posting highlights from our vision care clinic including stories of our recipients and our own experiences as we open our hearts to the people of Mexico.

Our goals is to help 20,000 people. We will have 3 days of clinic the first week in Poza Rica and 4 days of clinic the second week in Tuxpan. We'll be publishing posts each day Dec. 1-11. Be sure to log on every day so you don't miss a minute of the excitement.
